Although multiple-choice surveys are by far the most economical to process, this may not always fit your data-entry project requirements. Apperson DTS can combine multiple-choice, open-ended questions and comment fields. When we set up your template, we will set specific fields for those fields that require hand keying. After your forms have been scanned, these fields will come up on the verifier's computer screen, allowing the verifier to key the field verbatim. Keying comments during verification eliminates the need to match a survey to comments after data is exported.

On average, projects requiring hand keying take 2-3 days longer to process, depending on the scope and size of the data-entry project.
